They say the best time to view a waterfall is after some recent rain. In that case, you should all go to La La Falls in Warburton this week.
The journey to the falls is as good as the destination, about 20 minutes each way through a cool forest. It's a bit of an incline, along a dirt track that's a little slippery after the rain, but mostly an easy walk.
A stone bridge was a cute part of the track, crossing over a small stream.
We could hear the falls before we could see them and we excitedly hurried the last few metres. The mid afternoon sun was filtering through the ferns and we inhaled all the fresh mountain air we could fit in our lungs.
The fog was starting to roll in as we walked back to the car park.
Is it just me, or does this old log look like a Flake bar? I thought so on the day. And now I'm writing this at mid afternoon on a cold rainy day, it totally looks like a Flake bar. Now I want a Flake bar.
Fast forward to an hour later, and I have rummaged through the top shelf in the pantry. You know, the place where the Emergency Chocolate Stash is kept.
The planets must be aligned and the chocolate Gods smiling on me, because LOOK WHAT I FOUND!
Serendipity chocolate. Tastes way better than an old, wet log.
