Wombat Hill, Daylesford

An extinct volcano, Wombat Hill is a great location for views over Daylesford and beyond. A one-way vehicle entry and a couple of pedestrian gates allow access to the hill.

The  Pioneer's Memorial Tower  has a narrow, dark spiral staircase leading to a viewing platform at the top. Along the way, there are windows to take in the views across the land below.

From March to May, the Conservatory is filled with blooming Begonias in a myriad of colours.

The giant Douglas Fir trees tower over the gardens and we saw lots of Crimson Rosellas tackling the pine cones.
