Street Art, Hosier Lane

Some of the most stunning art in Melbourne can found on the brick walls of Hosier Lane.

Just across the road from Federation Square, Hosier Lane cuts a colourful path through to Flinders Lane, along with Rutledge Lane that runs alongside it.

The constantly changing works include everything from cartoon characters and portraits of unknown faces, to aerial dancers, commemorative works and Melbourne trams.
We've been lucky enough to visit a couple of times, when a group of artists have been creating new works. Mounted on cherry pickers and scaffolding, with cans of aerosol paint lined up ready to spray, they are fascinating to watch in action.
